Welaka Horse Camp!  Many have been asking about 08 Horse Camp.  As of this moment we do not have a chaperone to accompany members to Camp.  If anyone knows someone who is interested in chaperoning, please have them call me so that we can make arrangements.  The Horse Advisory Committee is willing to assist in the registration costs for the Adults!

_______ ---Horse Project R ecord Books are due to the Ag Center  at 5:00pm .  If the books  are not submitted by this date you will not be able to show at Area D.

JR/INT - 13 & under as of 9-1-07 SR 14 & over as of 9-1-07 -----At the Area & State 4-H Horse Shows, classes which are split into JR & SR will now be JR/INT (all youth 13 & under together) & SR (all youth 14 & over).  Until now, the age for SR was 13.  Now SRs for the horse shows will be 14, just like almost all of the other 4-H programs.  This also means that a youth must be 14 to qualify for Regional from the State Horse Show.  We recommend that your local & County horse shows follow the same break for SR age.  However, it is up to you if you want to offer separate classes for JRs & INT.  If you do so, please make sure it is known that JRs & INTs will be combined to one division at the Area & State shows.  For the Horse related contests (Judging, Hose Bowl, Hippology, Demonstrations, and Public Speaking), National rules have always required STs be 14 or over, so there is no change in those requirements.
