The Friends of the Horticultural Learning Center are a
not-for-profit 501(C)(3) organization.

Mission of the Friends:

To support the educational mission of the Lake County Extension Service by creating an exemplary garden facility for hands on training.
To assist the local horticultural industry by evaluating new plants and stimulating public interest in gardening.
To create an outstanding visitor attraction; a well designed teaching gardens.
To promote conservation of natural resources by demonstrating environmentally friendly practices for gardening and landscape management.
To provide a focal point for all local groups and individuals of all ages interested in horticulture.
